Nintendo DS Addict
Anna's cousin is teaching her how to play the DS. She was very content just sitting in his lap and watching.

Two types of people...
I realized this morning that there are two types of people in this world. Those who can blow their nose while rinsing with Listerine, and those who can't.

Artist
Anna likes to put as many Crayons in her hand all at once, then throw them across the table. It's been a long time since I've expressed my artsy side. You?

Passed by a clock
We were driving down state street today and this thing passed us. I found out that it's a Mercury Sable underneath. I wonder what kind of gas mileage he gets.

Our Little Car Fanatic
We went to the skating rink this morning and gave Anna a ride on the car. She loved it. She turned the steering wheel and shifted gears even.

I walked (roughly) 6290 steps today. More than 5000 were taken at work.
Sorry the photo is upside down.

Transmission Pan
This is the transmission pan to the Subaru. It turns out that directly behind the two holes are some servos that were damaged. In order to have the car running perfectly, the transmission will need to be tuned by Subaru.
The cost of repair is up to $3,000, not including the transmission tuning. Thank goodness for good insurance!

Road Hazard
Looks like a salvage truck dropped something. We ran over this, and damage was done to our oil pan and transaxel. Trip to Idaho: cancelled.
Oh, there were two other cars that were rendered undrivable. One was on it's roof. There were about 3 flat tires besides. That's a lot of damage.
Nobody was hurt. The lady in the upside-down car was fine too. Anna slept through most of it.

My little spud
Anna loves playing with potatoes. I never consiered them toys, but it looks like my home state has rubbed off. Either that or she has gotten bored with her other toys. Oh, she also loved playing with an empty egg carton.

Peach Julius
I made up a recipe today, and boy was it delicious! I'm calling it Peach Julius. Here's how you make it:
Ingredients:
16-20 oz Peaches, frozen
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
7 ice cubes
1. Peel and cube about 16-20 oz of peaches, place in plastic container, and freeze.
2. Put all ingredients in a blender, and pulsate 10 times, then blend on a high setting until smooth.
Fantastic!

Leftovers
This is what we're having for lunch today. We've got pasta salad, french toast, steak, Arby's roast beef sandwich, mashed potato and a baked potato. It all goes to the same place, right?
Oh, Anna had peas.

Anna and Liz started working together taking the books off the shelf. Anna would take them off and hand them to Liz. It was fun to watch.

Good night
This is what the baby monitor looks like when the baby isn't crying. Tonight was the first night Anna has gone to sleep by herself without a peep. We read to her, sang, prayed, put her in her crib and left. No tears.
It looks like the experience of many has worked well. Thanks all for your help!

Waiting for a train
I've passed this RR crossing a few hundred times, and this is the first time I've seen a train using it. Glad it works!
On a side note, the train whistle scared the tar out of me on my return trip.

Somehow, no matter how 'natural' I made the row of Cherrios look, Anna somehow knew all along that it was a trap.
